Why Choose Quartz?
Our Quartz slabs are not formed naturally - they are manufactured, unlike natural granite for instance. Do not see this as a negative however, the manufacturing process combines approximately 93% natural quartz with 7% resins, polymers and pigments to create a very hard, smooth and non-porous surface.
The patterns within our wide range of quartz are made using different textures of natural quartz and the colour options are created by the use of different pigments. You can be confident that your quartz will be consistent in both colour and pattern when it arrives as manufactured quartz slabs are produced to emulate natural stone and be pleasing to the eye - making quartz a very popular choice.
Tuscan Gold Quartz Slab
Quartz worktops are very strong, resistant to cracks, scratches and chipping and do not need to be sealed, saving you money in the long term. As a stone, it is non-porous and won’t harbour bacteria and viruses as well as being stain and heat resistant - you can even prepare food directly on the surface without damaging it. Quartz worktops are easy to maintain and clean and resist stains better than granite or marble.
Depending on the quality of the stone, Quartz can be a little more expensive than granite and more expensive than laminates or other solid surfaces. It is, however, much less expensive than marble. The thickness of the slab, how much material you need, the overall design and the quality of the quartz will all determine the final cost of your new worktops.
There is no doubt that Quartz worktops are stunning and can naturally improve the look of any home. From worktops to kitchen islands and breakfast bars, bathrooms, utilities and outdoor kitchens, your new quartz worktops will really transform your space into a bright and contemporary space.
