Quartzite

What is Quartzite?

Quartzite is a type of metamorphic rock that is formed from sandstone under intense heat and pressure. it is primarily composed of quartz grains that have been fused together through metamorphism. Quartzite is hard, durable and non-foliated rock that is resistant to chemical weathering and erosion. Due to its beauty, durability and resistance to scratching, quartzite is commonly used as building material for worktops, flooring and cladding.
